CODE OF CONDUCT

With a view to maintain a healthy, constructive and disciplined atmosphere in the college, every student is required to observe the following rules of conduct.

  1. Identity Card should be prominently displayed by all the students of the College by wearing the lanyard, which carries their I-card around the neck. Defaulters will be punished.
  2. Mobile / Cell Phones should not be used by any student during the lectures. The college will not be responsible for loss of Mobile phones.
  3. Students involved in any case of ragging will attract the prohibitions University Circular No. 2005/38/05/vs-1 dated 18.7.2007 and will be liable for cancellation of admission.
  4. The students are required to appear for the all-college examinations. Absence from any of these may result in the terms not being granted and such students will be debarred from appearing for the University examinations.
  5. The students are required to attend the lectures and practical with punctuality. Actions will be taken against those students who remain absent for more than 3 days consecutively, he/she is required to submit an explanation in writing from the parent/ guardian to the principal. Science students who fail to attend lectures are likely to be debarred from the practical. The list of students who default in attendance will be displayed on the college notice board from time to time.
  6. Conduct of the students in the class as well as on the campus shall be such as, will cause no disturbance to fellow students, teachers or to other classes.
  7. Loitering within the college premises, talking loudly, whistling, etc. are strictly prohibited. Any student found creating any kind of disturbance in the college is liable for severe punishment including suspension / rustication
  8. Students should, in their own interest, read the notices displayed on a day-to day basis.
  9. Consumption of alcohol, tobacco in any form and smoking are strictly prohibited in the college premises.
  10. No association can be formed or funds raised or tickets sold or meetings held without the prior permission of the principal in writing. Students must not indulge in political work on the college premises.
  11. Students are expected to use college property with care. Students causing any damage to the college property or laboratory equipment or books in the library are liable to pay a fine and repay the loss. The amount of fine to be levied will be decided by the Principal and his decision on all such matters will be final and binding.
  12. Students should not communicate without prior permission of the Principal, any information, or write any information or write about any matter concerning / regarding the college administration to the Press / outside agencies. No picnics, excursions, trips or social gatherings can be arranged by the students without the written permission of the Principal. Picnics may be arranged with the written consent of at least one Professor who will accompany the students and will give a written undertaking that he would be responsible for the safety and good conduct of the participants. Students are expected to behave with dignity and restraint during picnics, trips and social events in order to maintain the reputation of the college.
  13. Students are prohibited from dressing explicitly in a manner that offends the norms of decency and decorum.
  14. Students joining the college are required to abide by all the rules, regulations and instructions that are issued by the College authorities from time to time and to submit to the normal enforcement of the same to the satisfaction of the college authorities, whose decision in all matters shall be final.
Student council

The student Council represents the general student’s body, it comprises of meritorious students from each class, and one from the sports group. The General Secretary is elected from this body of the students. The formation of student council is done according to the university rules. The council is bridge between the students and management council of the college. The student conduct wide spectrum of activities through the various associations.
